About the Role:
The Director of Sales and Business Development is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and leading strategic sales initiatives within the manufacturing industry. This position oversees sales and marketing operations, develops business growth strategies, and manages key client relationships. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in B2B manufacturing sales, industrial business development, account management, and strategic planning.
Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion in manufacturing markets

Lead business development initiatives, including identifying new customers, industrial sectors, and revenue streams

Manage and strengthen relationships with existing manufacturing and industrial clients to increase retention and lifetime value

Analyze sales performance metrics, forecasts, and margin data to inform executive decision making

Prepare and deliver business proposals, negotiate contracts, and close high-value B2B manufacturing deals

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on pricing strategy, product positioning, and go-to-market planning for manufactured products

Establish sales processes, policies, and reporting systems to optimize performance and accountability

Monitor manufacturing industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements to inform strategy

Present performance updates, forecasts, and strategic insights to executive leadership and stakeholders

Lead, mentor, and develop sales and marketing teams to achieve performance targets
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales leadership, business development, or account management within the manufacturing industry

Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing high-performing sales teams in industrial or manufacturing environments

Strong experience in technical sales, industrial products, or engineered solutions

Strong analytical skills with experience in sales forecasting, financial metrics, and KPI tracking

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook

Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills

Ability to travel up to 50 percent as required
Desired Qualifications:
