Director of Sales and Renewals - Remote

This is an opportunity for a seasoned legal-information sales leader to expand strategic enterprise relationships, strengthen renewals and retention, improve sales execution, and help modernize how legal professionals across California access expert content and solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in legal information, legal tech, or subscription-based professional information services, along with the judgment and credibility to lead frontline sales managers, partner effectively across marketing and revenue operations, and drive disciplined growth across a multi-segment business. Salary & Compensation



  • UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Qualifications


  • Sales and Commercial Leadership Experience 10+ years of progressive experience in B2B sales leadership, including direct responsibility for revenue growth, renewals, retention, and expansion within a subscription-based business. Experience lea (Required)
  • Digital / Subscription Transformation Experience Experience selling or leading commercial teams in subscription-based information, content, workflow, or SaaS-enabled businesses, including digital adoption or legacy-to-digital transition. (Required)
  • Cross-Functional Commercial Leadership Experience partnering effectively with Marketing, Revenue Operations, Product, Finance, and related teams to improve sales performance and customer growth. (Required)
  • Sales Execution and Pipeline Management Experience with improving sales rigor, outbound effectiveness, pipeline quality, forecasting accuracy, and team performance against ambitious revenue goals. (Required)
  • Enterprise and Consultative Sales Leadership Demonstrated success and experience with leading consultative sales motions involving complex stakeholder environments, strategic account growth, executive relationship management, renewals, and multi (Required)
  • Legal Information / Legal Tech Market Experience Significant experience in the legal information, legal research, legal tech, or closely related professional information services market. (Preferred)
  • Channel / Partner Experience Experience working with or building partner, channel, or alliance motions in a professional information or SaaS context. (Preferred)
  • Industry Network Current experience with an established network and credibility within the legal or adjacent professional information market. (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated expertise in enterprise consultative sales, renewals, retention, and expansion within complex customer environments. (Required)
  • Strong leadership capability with a track record of coaching frontline managers and building accountable, high-performing teams. (Required)
  • Demonstrated command of Salesforce and common sales workflows, including forecasting, reporting, pipeline management, and opportunity inspection. (Required)
  • Excellent planning, analytical, and business reporting skills. (Required)
  • Proven ability to interpret sales performance data and translate insights into action. (Required)
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills. (Required)
  • Ability to lead through change and improve execution in organizations with uneven sales discipline or operating maturity. (Required)
  • Sound judgment in balancing enterprise, high-touch sales motions with more scalable digital and self-service commercial approaches. (Required)
  • Strong understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, competitor offerings, and segment-specific go-to-market considerations in the legal market. (Required)

  • Located in the U.S. and ability to travel within the domestic U.S. as needed. (Required)
