BizIQ is seeking an experienced Director of SEO responsible for managing a team of hardworking SEO Specialists to deliver top notch local and national SEO marketing campaigns for existing and future clients. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, works well with others and is able to adapt to changes quickly in a high-pressure environment. The Director of SEO must be an analytical and perspective professional who is organized, a skilled communicator, team-oriented, and has current knowledge of local and national SEO practices and techniques. In addition, the candidate must possess excellent project management, time management, and people management skills.

OBJECTIVES:
Strategic SEO Development: Formulate and implement SEO strategies to maximize visibility and performance for clients and the company brand.
Team Leadership: Manage a team of SEO Strategists, Specialists, Content Experts, and Link Building Teams to achieve optimized results.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Director of Design & Fulfillment to ensure projects meet deadlines and align with strategic objectives.
Operational Planning: Define SEO and link-building tasks and resource allocations to execute effective strategies.
Strategy Formulation: Develop comprehensive SEO strategies for different business models, including local businesses, nationwide organizations, and e-commerce platforms.
Project Management: Oversee team projects to ensure thorough tracking and reporting on performance metrics.
Link Building Oversight: Manage the planning and execution of link-building campaigns.
Client Partnership: Collaborate with Account Managers to develop client-specific strategies for success.
Keyword Research: Conduct detailed keyword research aligned with client business goals.
Marketing Collaboration: Work with the marketing department to support high-quality content.
Web Analytics: Monitor web analytics reports to inform and recommend strategic SEO initiatives.
Performance Monitoring: Regularly assess search performance metrics across major channels to improve rankings.
COMPETENCIES:
Experience leading diverse teams, with strong motivational and team-building skills.
Ability to create and implement long-term SEO strategies aligned with business objectives and emerging trends.
Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and technical SEO best practices.
Proficiency in website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush).
Skill in analyzing data and generating actionable insights, and monitoring KPIs to guide strategy.
Exceptional project management skills, focusing on efficiency and meeting deadlines, with the ability to define project scope, allocate resources, and manage timelines.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in marketing, design, fulfillment, and account management.
High level of customer focus with the capability to deliver client satisfaction and tailor SEO strategies for various business models and industries.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Over 5 years in an Executive Leadership role, managing SEO teams.
Strong grasp of on-site and off-site SEO for local and national markets.
Proficient in client-side reporting and link-building strategies.
Experienced with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Moz, and SEMrush.
Skilled in CMS platforms, particularly WordPress.
Knowledgeable in HTML/CSS and website administration.
Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
BS/BA degree in a related field is preferred.
