Position Title: Director of SEOReports To: VP of Marketing
Position Summary
The Director of SEO leads all organic growth initiatives across and PLT Solutions. This role owns the full SEO strategy, execution, and reporting framework to drive profitable traffic, improve product visibility, and strengthen brand authority across categories. The position combines technical SEO, content strategy, analytics, and cross-departmental collaboration with Web Development and Marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-level SEO strategy across 1000Bulbs.com, PLT Solutions, and related domains.
- Conduct deep audits of site architecture, crawl efficiency, Core Web Vitals, and schema implementation.
- Partner with Web Dev to improve site speed, structured data, page structure, redirects, canonicalization, and internal linking.
- Oversee keyword universe development, topic clustering, and page-level optimization to support merchandising and product launches.
- Build category-level SEO roadmaps aligned with revenue goals and seasonal priorities.
- Develop and manage off-page initiatives including link acquisition, partnerships, and local SEO signals.
- Coordinate with content and UX designers to ensure product pages, landing pages, blogs, and buying guides meet SEO best practices.
- Build and maintain organic performance dashboards and reporting infrastructure using Looker Studio, Tableau, Excel, and/or BI tools. Personally create executive-level reports analyzing traffic, conversions, revenue, and ROI from GSC/GA4 (Google Cloud), SEMrush, and internal data sources.
- Define KPIs and present executive-level SEO performance reports with actionable insights.
- Supervise and mentor internal SEO staff or external partners.
- Collaborate with paid media to improve total MER and blended acquisition efficiency.
- Work with merchandising and brand teams to ensure new SKUs and category launches are optimized pre-publish.
- Manage SEO compliance for all schema and product feed data across Google Merchant and other marketplaces.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of SEO experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing technical and content SEO functions.
- Proven success increasing organic traffic and revenue for large-scale eCommerce sites ($1MM Revenue+ large catalog of SKUs).
- Hands-on experience with custom or headless eCommerce platforms where SEO functionality must be built from scratch, not managed through plugins like Yoast or RankMath. Must be able to write technical requirements and QA developer implementations.
- Strong technical knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript rendering, and crawl-budget management.
- Expertise in Google Search Console, GA4, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Web Developers, Web Publishers and Marketing teams.
- Familiarity with schema markup, internationalization (hreflang), and product variant SEO structure.
- Advanced proficiency in Data Visualization tools and must be able to build dashboards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
- This is a full-time, in-office position based at our Garland, TX headquarters. Remote work is not available for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NetSuite-integrated or custom built eCommerce platforms.
- Understanding of accessibility (ADA/WCAG) and SEO impact.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted content frameworks, chatbots, and semantic search.
- Background managing SEO budgets and external agencies.
Pay: Up to $105,000.00 per year
