Position Requires Relocation to Kuwait

Reports To: Associate Vice President of Student Affairs

Location: Kuwait City, Kuwait

Job Purpose

The Director of Student Affairs provides leadership and strategic direction for all student services, programs, and engagement activities at the University. This position oversees student life initiatives, including orientation, student organizations, leadership programs, wellness and fitness, career services, and discipline for non-academic violations. The Director plays a key role in enhancing student satisfaction, retention, and success while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive a vibrant student life program through effective planning, supervision, and innovation in services and events.
  • Strengthen student engagement and leadership through programs that build skills, teamwork, and campus pride.
  • Oversee student conduct processes to ensure accountability and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Optimize departmental operations and budgets to achieve performance and service objectives.
  • Partner with Academic Affairs, HR, and other units to support new, at-risk, and working students.
  • Enhance communication and student access through digital platforms and data-informed initiatives.
  • Lead staff development, performance evaluation, and goal-setting to build a high-performing team.
  • Represent Student Affairs in committees and initiatives advancing institutional strategy.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication, organization, and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of student development and university operations.
  • Experience managing budgets, projects, and staff performance.
  • Proficiency in student systems and data tools.
  • Flexibility for evening and weekend events.

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel, or related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive Student Affairs experience with supervisory and budget responsibilities.
  • Experience in policy development, program design, and data-driven improvement initiatives.
