Job Title: Director of Student Engagement

Location: Al Jahra, Kuwait


Job Purpose

The Director of Student Engagement leads all initiatives that enhance campus life, student leadership, and community involvement. This position oversees student activities, organizations, athletics, counseling, and career services to promote engagement, wellbeing, and retention. The role drives programs that build belonging, pride, and student success through collaborative and results-oriented leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of campus-wide engagement programs, events, and student initiatives.
  • Oversee operations and staff in Student Activities, Athletics, Counseling, and Career Services.
  • Strengthen student leadership, volunteerism, and organizational involvement.
  • Manage student conduct and maintain compliance with the Student Code of Conduct and Handbook.
  • Collaborate with departments to integrate student life with academic and institutional goals.
  • Use data and feedback to measure engagement outcomes and improve programs.
  • Supervise staff performance, development, and goal achievement.
  • Manage budgets, policies, and operational procedures to ensure efficiency and accountability.
  • Coordinate digital communications, publications, and student event calendars.
  • Represent Student Affairs in committees and projects supporting institutional priorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven leadership in student engagement or student life management.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of student development principles and event operations.
  • Experience supervising staff, managing budgets, and leading campus programs.
  • Proficiency in student systems, analytics, and engagement technologies.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for university activities.

Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive Student Affairs experience with supervisory and budget responsibilities.
  • Experience in event management, leadership development, and data-informed program planning.
