POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Vendor Management will be responsible for facilitating and maintaining relationships between TapestryHealth and vendors/partners, assessing and validating contracts, and creating standards for the vendors partnering with TapestryHealth. The Director of Vendor Management will also be the subject matter expert for those products and services delivered by key vendors. Through managing a small team of Vendor Managers, this leader will drive increasing value from our vendor partners. This position also ensures that vendors fulfill their contractual obligations thereby having fiduciary responsibility and approval authority for invoices by these vendors/partners. This position plays a critical role in ensuring vendor strategy aligns with TapestryHealth’s clinical, operational, compliance, and financial objectives. The Director will proactively identify opportunities to optimize vendor performance, reduce costs, mitigate risk, and support scalable growth across emerging product offerings. This leader will partner closely with Operations, Finance, Compliance, Clinical, Product, and IT teams to ensure vendor decisions support enterprise priorities and long-term sustainability. This leader will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Obtain expert level knowledge of the products and services delivered by key vendor partners that support TapestryHealth.
  • Develop and sustain long-standing relationships with company-approved vendor representatives and serve as liaison between them and the appropriate operational leaders within TapestryHealth.
  • Meet with prospective vendors to assess their products, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing, and communicate any product or service-related concerns
  • Establish standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendors
  • Review all vendor contracts for accuracy and execution
  • Manage a repository of vendor contract nuances like renewal dates, vendor contacts, and TapestryHealth stakeholders and drive regular reviews of contract status
  • Validate and approve invoices based on contract terms
  • Dedicate additional team and personal effort to support vendors key to our product offerings like Remote Patient Monitoring device vendors
  • Develop and maintain KPI metrics for key vendors, including regular reviews of performance against expectations
  • Directly supervise a small team of Vendor Managers to help manage the performance of key vendor partners
  • Ensure that necessary billing reports are produced on a timely basis and forwarded to appropriate internal TapestryHealth stakeholders
  • Limited travel, as necessary
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining, and adhering to vendor policies and procedures
  • Execute and maintain standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendors
  • Own vendor cost optimization initiatives, including pricing reviews, utilization analysis, and renegotiation strategies to improve margin and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure vendor contracts meet regulatory, privacy (HIPAA), security, and operational requirements.
  • Ensure vendors adhere to TapestryHealth policies, security standards, and data-sharing requirements.
  • Lead vendor issue resolution and escalation processes, including remediation plans when contractual or performance standards are not met.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of vendors, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical and operational performance.
  • Serve as a key partner in evaluating new vendor capabilities to support innovation, scalability, and evolving care delivery models.
  • Establish a formal vendor governance framework, including cadence for performance reviews, executive check-ins, and strategic planning sessions with key partners.
  • Lead quarterly and annual business reviews with strategic vendors, including RPM device manufacturers and technology partners.
  • Use data-driven insights to continuously improve vendor performance and accountability.
  • Mentor and develop Vendor Managers, establishing clear expectations, performance goals, and professional development plans.
  • Define standard operating procedures and best practices for vendor management across the organization.
  • All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field: Master’s degree preferred.
  • Prior experience building or scaling a vendor management function in a high-growth organization.
  • Preferred experience in the post-acute/skilled nursing environment.
  • Experience with varying technologies and software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Zoom, Project Management and EMR software.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Great under pressure with an ability to multitask and navigate complex situations.
  • Collaborative spirit, relationship builder, and a bias to action.
  • Eagerness to take ownership and make an immediate impact solidifying and scaling the team
    Proficiency in MS suite.
