Director of Wealth of Management

Role Summary

The Director of Wealth Management will lead capital raising and client coverage across High-Net-Worth (HNW), Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW), Family Offices, and select institutional clients.

The role requires deep expertise in private market investment products (Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Estate, Structured Products, and Alternative Investments) and a proven track record of raising significant capital.


This is a revenue-generating leadership role responsible for expanding AUM, strengthening client relationships, and driving distribution of alternative investment strategies.


Key Responsibilities

1. Capital Raising & AUM Growth

  • Raise substantial capital from HNW, UHNW, Family Offices, and institutional investors
  • Distribute private market funds, co-investments, and structured investment vehicles
  • Originate large ticket allocations (USD 5m – 50m+ per ticket typical target range)
  • Achieve annual fundraising targets aligned with firm growth strategy


2. Client Portfolio Management

  • Maintain and grow a sizeable existing client portfolio
  • Provide tailored investment solutions across private markets
  • Conduct portfolio reviews and strategic asset allocation discussions
  • Develop bespoke structures (SPVs, feeder funds, managed accounts)


3. Product Expertise – Private Markets

Strong understanding of:

  • Private Equity (buyout, growth, venture)
  • Private Credit & Direct Lending
  • Real Estate (core/core+, value-add, opportunistic)
  • Infrastructure
  • Structured products and capital protection strategies


Ability to:

  • Explain fund structures (closed-end, evergreen, deal-by-deal)
  • Articulate carry, waterfall mechanics, holdbacks
  • Assess liquidity profiles and J-curve impact
  • Present risk-return frameworks clearly to sophisticated investors


4. Business Development

  • Identify and onboard new HNW/UHNW clients
  • Build relationships with Family Offices and regional conglomerates
  • Leverage personal network to expand distribution footprint
  • Represent the firm at investor events and private forums


5. Strategic & Leadership Contribution

  • Contribute to product development strategy
  • Provide investor feedback into structuring and fund design
  • Mentor junior Relationship Managers
  • Ensure regulatory and compliance adherence (QFC/CMA/SAMA equivalent frameworks)


Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 10–15+ years in Private Banking, Wealth Management, or Alternatives Distribution
  • Demonstrated capital raising track record (documented AUM growth)
  • Existing transferable client book strongly preferred
  • Experience in GCC market highly desirable


Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of private market structures and fund mechanics
  • Ability to interpret financial models and investment memoranda
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in relevant jurisdiction
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation capabilities


Network

  • Established relationships with:
  • HNW/UHNW individuals
  • Family Offices
  • Corporate executives
  • Regional investors
  • Proven ability to convert relationships into committed capital
