Summary

Within the framework of the objectives and policies established by the Chief Nursing Officer, plans and coordinates nursing services with those of the medical and administrative systems. Participates as a member of the hospital's management team in planning, policy formulation, and administrative decision making in the role, functions, and operation of the hospital. Is responsible for his or her divisional patient care, management, resource management, and fiscal management. Responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, direct and indirect, patient-family centered care through the continuum of peri-operative care to include: outpatient and inpatient surgery, preoperative, operating room, post-anesthesia care, gastrointestinal, sterile processing, anesthesia services and other departments as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Current and unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) through the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers certification.
• Seven years (7) increasingly responsible management or progressive leadership experience.
• Five (5) years as acute care nurse.

Preferred:

• Two (2) years of director-level leadership experience
• Master's degree
