Job Summary

The Director, Procurement will be Access Information Management’s lead procurement and sourcing professional, responsible for the company’s procurement and supply chain strategy, related policies and overseeing the purchasing of equipment, supplies and services across the enterprise. The Director will define strategic direction, goals, and priorities for the corporate purchasing initiatives, while ensuring alignment to corporate governance and best practices. In addition, this role will work closely with the Chief Accounting Officer to monitor and oversee purchasing-related systems. This role is expected to have two direct reports.

He/she will report to the SVP, Finance and will communicate decisions and report results to the CFO and Executive Team. Key Business Partners will be the CIO, and President/COO. The ideal candidate will come from a distributed services business.

Primary Functions:

Strategic Procurement Leadership

  • Define and execute a procurement strategy that supports business objectives, operational efficiency, and cost savings across the enterprise
  • Lead and evolve the procurement function, ensuring scalability, compliance, and maturity aligned with company growth
  • Manage ~$125M in indirect spend, including major categories such as fleet, real estate racking, facilities, logistics, temp labor, IT spend and travel
  • Apply procurement trends, benchmarking, and best practices, leveraging external and internal resources

Team and Category Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of procurement professionals; assign ownership of category responsibilities and support ongoing development
  • Drive accountability for savings targets and supplier performance across team and stakeholders

Cost Optimization and Governance

  • Identify and realize savings opportunities through sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and supplier consolidation
  • Track and communicate hard savings and cost avoidance in a clear and consistent manner
  • Establish procurement policies, processes, and performance goals; drive adoption across the organization

Risk Management and Supplier Performance

  • Lead supplier evaluation and risk management efforts, including scorecard development and performance monitoring.
  • Develop scalable tools and reports to increase visibility and accountability for procurement outcomes

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with business leaders, Finance, Accounting, and Legal to ensure procurement aligns with financial planning, operational needs, and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with private equity sponsors and external buying groups to explore group purchasing and leverage scale

Education and Years of Experience:

  • 7-10 years procurement experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or advanced degree in related discipline preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in managing budgets, planning, forecasting and process improvement
  • Demonstrated skill in project management and change management, with examples of influencing others to adopt change and realize impact
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex agreements with suppliers
  • Strong knowledge of contract language and law
  • Ability to think strategically and drive changes for clarity and efficiencies
  • Detail oriented with a high bias to action
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, work well in team environment, and able to work in diverse environments
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing through presentations and individual discussions with all levels of the organization both internally and externally

Compensation: $160k to $170k + bonus opportunities
