Director, Software Development - Data Storage Innovation

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking an experienced and visionary Director to lead our Data Storage Innovation efforts for our AI Infrastructure platform . In this strategic role, you will guide the evaluation and integration of cutting-edge distributed data storage services, influence the future of OCI’s AI infrastructure roadmap, and collaborate closely with key customers and partners to prototype the next generation of platform capabilities.

• Build and lead a high-impact engineering team focused on rapid innovation.
• Evaluate and experiment with emerging infrastructure technologies and develop the next generation offerings of OCI’s AI Platform.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to translate R&D findings into actionable strategies that enhance OCI’s AI platform capabilities.
• Launch and drive joint innovation pilots in collaboration with strategic customers and ecosystem partners.
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders and OCI leadership by providing thought leadership in AI infrastructure trends and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience leading technical innovation teams in Data Storage, Database and Distributed Systems domains.
• Demonstrated success driving prototyping initiatives from concept through implementation in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence executive and cross-functional teams.
• 10+ years of engineering or R&D experience, with significant leadership in infrastructure, or systems architecture.
