Director, Solutions Architecture

Job Description:

At Fidelity Wealth, we are seeking an accomplished Digital Experience Solutions Architect to join the Wealth Solution Architecture team to define the strategy for scalable solution architectures in support of the Visitor Engagement platform in the Marketing domain. In this role, you will collaborate with development teams and solution architects to drive solutions that meet changing business priorities and initiatives while assuring adherence to Enterprise standards for application, data, platform, and infrastructure layers. In addition, you will conduct risk assessment and reviews, work with enterprise leaders to standardize solutions and participate in Architecture Review boards.

The Expertise You Have

An Ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the User Experiences in the Marketing business domain and provide collaborative leadership to define and drive architecture strategies, patterns, standards, and guidelines. The ideal candidate should also demonstrate strong technical leadership with a proven ability to work with the business and drive solution alignment and adoption, reduce tech-debt and evolve the architecture roadmap in conjunction with business goals. Familiarity with data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance is required.

The Skills You Bring

• Proven experience in defining and driving Technology Architecture evolution of complex tech stacks. This includes managing the Architecture Lifecycle of multiple concurrent solutions through strong communication skills, organizational skills, cross-functional collaboration (stakeholder management), business analysis, architecture definition, diagramming, documentation, POC creation, presentation skills, influential ability, and an ability to make progress despite ambiguity.
• Proven experience in engineering large-scale web applications end-to-end, with a focus on Customer Experience, Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, and Cost Optimization.
• Proficient in Cloud Architecture, Services, and Patterns. Hands-on experience with Core AWS services is a must-have, e.g. Amazon VPC, DNS, ELB, CloudFront, API Gateway, IAM, EC2, EKS, Lambda, Step Functions, SNS, SQS, EMR, S3, RDS, Oracle/PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation/Terraform, Data Lake, Data Fabric, Service Mesh, Event-Driven Architecture, Resiliency, Disaster Recovery, etc.
• Proven experience in Microservices Architecture with REST.
• Proven experience in Kubernetes (EKS preferred). • Proven hands-on experience with the Front-End technologies such as Angular, NX Workspace, NodeJS, and NestJS are a must. • Proven experience in DevSecOps and CI/CD automation (Jenkins Core and GitOps preferred).
• Proficient in Cloud/On-Premises Networking Topologies.
• Proven experience with Full-Stack JavaScript/TypeScript are a must.
• Java Micronaut or Spring framework preferred.
• Strong understanding of common Architecture Principles, Patterns, and trade-offs.
• Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design, and an ability to apply it to new and existing domains.
• Strong understanding of the Twelve-Factor App.
• Ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members. • Flexible, growth-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
• Experience in the financial services and Marketing domain is a plus
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Familiarity with legal, risk, compliance, and cybersecurity standards.

You will proactively facilitate effective in-person and remote engagements across hybrid teams to drive, manage, & monitor comprehensive Architectural Strategy execution. This includes, but is not limited to, Business Capability Analysis, Customer Journey Mapping, Architecture Design and Documentation, Technology and Solution Evaluations, and Domain Modeling, Front-End Architecture, API Strategy, Microservices Architecture, Cloud Adoption, Automation, and DevSecOps. In general, we are looking for a solid SolutionsArchitect with a proven track-record of working with multiple teams to lead and drive end-to-end architecture in a complex space.
