Director of Global Strategic Sourcing – Technology
The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic Director of Technology Strategic Sourcing to lead high‑impact technology categories. You’ll have the opportunity to set the vision and strategy for the spend categories, shape company‑wide sourcing decisions related to Technology spend and grow as a senior leader within a global sourcing organization. You will deliver significant savings, streamline operations, and raise internal customer satisfaction. You’ll also help standardize how we buy and govern technology through our unified source-to-pay process, enabling faster buying, and strengthening governance companywide.
Collaborating with the Head of Global Strategic Sourcing, you will lead teams of category managers covering over $2.5B in annual spend. The category scope includes Cloud (Compute, Storage, GPU), AI and Data Platforms, Enterprise Software (SaaS and on- premise), Infrastructure (Hardware, Data Center, Network) and Services. What you'll Do
Partner closely with internal customers to understand priorities, unlock value, and deliver measurable outcomes.
Build and continuously evolve multi‑year category strategies aligned to business roadmaps, budgets, and risk posture.
Help standardize technology buying through unified source‑to‑pay processes and contracting standards.
Lead sourcing and cross-functional teams across multiple categories and initiatives from strategy development through sourcing, contracting, and implementation.
Develop organizational capability by mentoring, coaching, and building high‑performing sourcing leaders and teams.
Drive process improvements that increase customer happiness, reduce cycle time, and deliver efficiency gains while ensuring compliance with policies and mitigating supplier risk.
Deploy leading-edge procurement solutions (e.g., AI, RPA, Chatbots, Process Mining) to drive automation, unlocking savings, mitigate risk and transform strategic sourcing processes
What you need to succeed
10+ years of demonstrated leadership experience and expertise in strategic sourcing for Technology categories (enterprise software, SaaS/cloud, data/AI, or infra/services) at a global scale and within a fast paced, dynamic organization.
Experience in structuring and negotiating large-scale cloud agreements with hyperscalers. Solid understanding of cloud category market dynamics (offerings, pricing, competitive position, market trends); Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies that translate to significant business outcomes.
Proven track record in building trusted relationships with diverse partners across all levels (including senior-most levels of an organization) and influence decision‑making that aligns the interests of diverse teams.
Strong people-leadership capabilities, with a track record of attracting, developing, training and retaining outstanding talent.
Experience embedding risk, compliance, and governance into sourcing and contracting processes.
Experience leading high-profile, complex negotiations with multi-faceted relationships (buy from, sell to, joint go-to-market, etc).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $153,800 -- $301,050 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
