POSITION: Director – Supply Chain

LOCATION: Dhaka, Bangladesh

SALARY: USD 10,000 – 12,000 (Net) + Benefits

OVERVIEW:

Our client, a globally reputed multinational in the manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced and strategic Director – Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing operations across multiple plants in Bangladesh. The role demands a forward-thinking leader with proven expertise in supply chain strategy, procurement, logistics, and manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate will oversee all facets of supply chain efficiency while ensuring seamless collaboration between production, planning, and operational units to deliver best-in-class performance and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction across the full supply chain spectrum — including procurement, planning, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
• Oversee production and manufacturing alignment to ensure supply continuity, cost optimization, and quality assurance.
• Develop and implement regional supply chain strategies aligned with global corporate objectives.
• Drive efficiency improvements through data-driven decision-making, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Lead initiatives for demand and inventory planning, supplier development, and cost control.
• Strengthen coordination between supply chain, manufacturing, finance, and commercial teams for integrated operations.
• Oversee logistics partners and ensure high service levels, compliance, and sustainability practices.
• Manage plant-level supply chain and production performance metrics, budgets, and capital expenditure.
• Champion digital transformation and process automation across the supply chain and manufacturing ecosystem.
• Mentor and develop cross-functional leaders to ensure operational excellence and succession readiness.

PRE-REQUISITES:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12–15 years of experience in end-to-end supply chain management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multi-plant or multi-country operations.
• Strong exposure to both Supply Chain (75%) and Manufacturing (25%) domains.
• Candidates from any manufacturing background will be considered; experience in apparel, packaging and labeling, food, industrial, or FMCG sectors will be an added advantage .
• Proven success in driving strategic sourcing, production planning, logistics optimization, and operational efficiency.
• Deep understanding of modern supply chain systems, ERP platforms , and process improvement tools.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• High proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Must be willing to relocate to or be based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
