Qiddiya Investment Company is on the lookout for an innovative and experienced Director - Technical to join our team. This key leadership role will focus on managing all technical aspects of our ambitious projects and initiatives, ensuring that we deliver high-quality outcomes that align with our strategic vision.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical engineering, project management, and leadership in a large-scale development environment. You will play a crucial role in leading your team to enhance operational performance, drive continuous improvement, and ensure that all technical requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership

o Provide vision and direction for the technical department, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.

o Mentor and develop engineering teams to enhance skills and expertise.

o Drive innovation by encouraging and implementing new technologies and methodologies.

  • Project Management

o Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring they are completed to specifications, on time, and within budget.

o Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure all technical aspects of projects are integrated effectively.

  • Continuous Improvement

o Identify areas for improvement within technical operations and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

o Utilize data and metrics to assess performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration

o Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align technical requirements with business objectives.

o Build strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and industry partners to support project success.

  • Compliance and Risk Management

o Ensure adherence to all relevant local and international standards, regulations, and best practices in engineering and construction.

o Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technical operations.

  • Reporting and Documentation

o Maintain thorough documentation of technical specifications, project plans, and compliance records.

o Prepare detailed reports for senior management and stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and outcomes.

Requirements

  • - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Master’s Degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role within technical services or engineering management in large-scale development or construction projects.
  • Proven experience in project management methodologies and principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and implement continuous improvement initiatives in technical operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering standards, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to large-scale projects.
  • Track record of successful risk management and problem-solving in complex environments.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency in technical documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
