Director - Technology Strategy

This opportunity entails being responsible for setting the architectural direction for all of the company's enterprise systems. This position will oversee the Enterprise Architecture and Data teams, ensuring that all data is managed within a modern data architecture that maintains accuracy and accessibility across the enterprise. Additionally, the role is tasked with developing and driving the company's AI strategy to include applying AI at scale to revolutionize our work processes.

This position may be based in any major HNTB location.

What You'll Do:

• Responsible for the oversight and direction of the Technology Strategy department’s activities for delivering enterprise technology solutions.
• Directs execution of enterprise program elements of the firm’s Information Technology plan, and leads the development of new strategic initiatives, anticipating and observing internal and external business challenges, developing solutions to address. Evaluates emerging and existing technologies and processes, then advises the firm’s executive leadership with cost-effectiveness and competitive advantages in mind.
• Establishes and guides the architectural direction for enterprise systems, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
• Leads the Enterprise Architecture team, fostering innovation and ensuring all data is managed within a modern and accurate architecture.
• Develops and executes the company's data strategy, maintaining the integrity and accessibility of data across the enterprise.
• Drives the AI strategy, leveraging artificial intelligence to transform business processes and functions at scale.
• Collaborates with senior executives, including the CEO, to develop strategies and execute initiatives across the firm.
• Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, mentoring, development, and retention of staff. Includes but not limited to development of plan for staff reporting, performance and compensation reviews, and succession planning.
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree and 12 years progressive IT relevant experience, or
• In lieu of education, 16 years progressive IT relevant experience

What You'll Bring:

• Experience managing multiple IT disciplines with cross-department collaboration.
• Professional services industry experience with Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.
• Supporting internal IT R&D/innovation initiatives.
• Hands on management experience developing IT KPIs and SLAs.
• Ability to successfully interact with team and with individuals at all levels of management, including Executive Management.
• Ability to deliver full life-cycle enterprise solutions.

What We Prefer:

• Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
