Job Summary
Provide the strategic oversight of the development, administration, and continuous improvement of training programs focused on advanced nuclear reactors, positioning AEP as a leader in this area. This role includes responsibilities for simulator development and management, ensuring that training methodologies incorporate realistic simulations to enhance learning outcomes and operational readiness. The Training Director will bring deep expertise in nuclear training, regulatory compliance, and organizational leadership, with a passion for innovation and excellence. This position is essential for ensuring that personnel are well-prepared to operate advanced nuclear reactors safely and effectively across multiple technologies and generation sites.Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the nuclear industry, with at least 6 years in a training management role.
Senior Reactor Operator License or certification required.
Work Environment
The Training Director will operate in a dynamic environment that includes office settings, training facilities, and operational sites. Occasional travel may be required to support training initiatives and simulator development.

Base Salary: $189K - $245K
