JOB SUMMARY

Provides oversight, leadership and achievement of results for Transportation, Warehouse, Outlet, and Retail Donation Centers (RDC) for Goodwill of the San Francisco Bay (GSFB) . Provides leadership and general management skills for both short and long-term success. Key responsibilities include operations, financial management, human resources, and Team Member training & development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Executes operational plan to achieve required targeted growth in daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals in Transportation, Warehouse, Outlet, and Retail Donation Centers (RDC).
  • Oversees daily operational efficiency throughout all departments.
  • In partnership with other leaders, continually identifies and develops new business lines and opportunities for continued Revenue growth and Operating Income potential
  • Drives process improvement and cost savings initiatives through evaluating current processes, identifying best practices, and developing plans to reach goals and implement improvements, continuously developing tools/systems and automating processes.
  • Ensures Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers at RDCs and Outlet store.
  • Implements general policies established by the VP of Operations, directing their administration and execution.
  • Works with the VP of Operations to analyze, identify and execute strategic goals and objectives.
  • Builds and manages strong working relationships with Team Members.
  • Serves as a Goodwill ambassador to the community.
  • Makes decisions on matters relating to the day-to-day operation within his/her defined area including the strategic planning of resources.
  • Works with VP of Retail and VP of Aftermarket Goods to ensure correct product flow.

  • Ensures that Team Members are operating per company standards and procedures relating to Security, Health and Safety; influences any changes necessary to meet statutory requirements, ensuring minimum risk to Team Members and the business.
  • Partners with support areas (Asset Protection, Human Resources, Safety, Finance, etc.) to further business goals and ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Works with the assigned HR Business Partner to ensure people management goals are achieved and issues are satisfactorily resolved.
  • Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.
  • Responsible for performance management (coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, and annual reviews), staffing, compensation, and development of Team Members.

  • Plays critical role in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years’ leadership experience in warehouse operations and logistics or any combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience with Cal OSHA, Department of Toxic Substances (DTSC), Cal Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA), fire codes, and managing hazardous waste.
  • Excellent internet navigation required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
  • Ability to speak and read English proficiently.

Physical Demands:

Frequently stand, walk, sit, and reach outward. Constantly handling and fingering. Constantly lifting and carrying up to 20lbs. Occasionally lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs.

Pay Range Minimum

$180,000.00
