Qiddiya Investment Company is thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Director – Wellness, to join our visionary Hospitality team. This pivotal role drives the strategic development of fitness, spa, and holistic wellness experiences across our hotel and mixed-use portfolio, from market insights to master planning, concept design and shaping next-generation offerings that integrate performance, recovery, wellbeing, lifestyle, and therapeutic, aligned with the vision and pillars of Qiddiya.
- Market & Concept Research: Continuously research into emerging global trends in fitness, wellness therapies, spa innovation, sports recovery, biohacking, and integrative wellbeing.
- Master Planning Support: Supports the Executive Director of Wellness in developing and executing district-wide Wellness master plans covering fitness centers, recovery hubs, spa complexes, hydrotherapy areas, thermal circuits, and specialized treatments, ensuring alignment with the overall Qiddiya’s broader strategy.
- Concept Development: Contribute to the creation of differentiated concepts such as signature Spas, premium fitness and performance centers, specialized treatment studios, wellness clinics and recovery labs, tailoring concepts to specific asset types, districts and demographic targets.
- Operational Briefs: Prepare or support the development of comprehensive Wellness operational briefs detailing concept intent, guest journey and experience flow, spatial planning and zoning, and technical requirements.
- Treatment & Program Development: Drive the creation of wellness programs, treatment menus, and performance/recovery protocols.
- Procurement & Equipment Innovation: Collaborate with Procurement team to research, evaluate and recommend advanced wellness and fitness technologies, including strength & cardio equipment, recovery devices, spa equipment and digital wellness platforms, that enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.
- Project Oversight: Support ongoing projects by monitoring timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with financial targets and development schedules.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison with consultants, third-party operators, designers and internal stakeholders to align operational needs with project vision and execution.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Sports Science, Wellness/Spa Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in spa, fitness or wellness operations and/or development, ideally within luxury hospitality or wellness brands.
- Wellness Expertise: Demonstrated in-depth understanding of spa, fitness/gyms and wellness operations, and deep knowledge of trends and concept innovation.
- Project & Financial Acumen: Strong track record in budgeting, cost control, and project planning; proven ability to balance creative vision with commercial realities.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Effective leader with the ability to inspire teams and manage cross-functional collaborations with design, procurement, and technical services.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; adept at building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including owners, therapists, consultants, and brand partners.
- Technical Proficiency: Competence with project management tools, financial analysis software, and reporting systems.
- Mindset: Passion for wellbeing and hospitality, with a creative yet pragmatic approach to bringing new ideas to market.
