Disability Advocate (HYBRID)

This full-time position is HYBRID working from home but onsite at the office in South Jordan UT as required with a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Make a meaningful impact by helping individuals navigate the complex process of applying for Social Security Disability benefits. As a Disability Advocate at ElevatePFS, you’ll play a vital role in supporting claimants through the SSI/SSDI (social security disability) application journey—ensuring they receive the assistance they need during some of life’s most challenging moments.

As a Disability Advocate, you’ll guide individuals through the SSI/SSDI application process, spending most of your day on the phone with claimants, medical providers, and government agencies. You’ll collect and review documentation, maintain accurate records, and submit medical information to the SSA. You’ll also troubleshoot application issues and ensure timely follow-up. Success in this role requires professionalism, empathy, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate telephonically with individuals who have pending applications for Social Security Disability (SSI/SSDI) benefits (to include state and local government agencies and nationwide Medical providers)
  • Gather of all required documentation to include state, federal and medical treating records
  • Ensure claimants most current information is secured with all required agencies to include, company systems, state, and federal agencies
  • Receive inbound and placing outbound calls 70% + of working day
  • Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • Review and process medical documentation for submission
  • Research methods to overcoming roadblocks in the SSI/SSDI application and follow up process
  • Meet individual productivity and performance standards established by the company
Qualifications and Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Required computer skills: Intermediate experience with data entry and word processing; be capable of operating routine office equipment; possess a working knowledge of MS Office applications, and understand how to navigate through web-based applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • A positive attitude that is flexible and adaptable to a changing environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Bilingual desirable, Spanish
  • Remote and Hybrid positions require a home internet connection that meets the company’s upload and download speed criteria.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, location, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
