Role description

We are seeking an experienced Disaster Recovery (DR) Program Manager to lead the firm’s DR program lifecycle including DR planning, solution design and implementation, training, and test execution.

The Program Manager oversees development of disaster recovery plans, processes, and procedures to ensure the availability, integrity, and resiliency of critical applications and services. This highly cross-functional role works with Grant Thornton technical and business stakeholders as well as numerous vendors that make up our technology support ecosystem to prepare for and respond to unplanned technology disruption to production systems and infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages all aspects of the IT Disaster Recovery Program from application selection and due diligence, through DR solution implementation, and DR test execution.

Develops and manages the DR portfolio including but not limited to DR solution asset management, development and update of DR solution implementation project plans, DR test schedule update and maintenance, and DR activity pipeline management.

Manages 3rd party vendors and service providers in the implementation and testing of DR solutions.

Defines application recovery objectives and metrics (RTOs and RPOs) commensurate with business process criticality ratings defined in the GT Business Impact Analysis (BIA) document.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Management Information Systems (MIS).

8 years of experience in IT Operations or Product Development. Domain experience in networking, database, system, server and application development or data center operations with current enterprise scale technologies.

Strong project management skills

Direct experience designing and implementing and/or managing an IT DR Program.

Understanding of cloud computing services and computing models (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) in the Microsoft Azure environment.

Understanding of Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Business Impact Analysis (BIA).

Experience leading and managing large, highly complex enterprise IT projects.

Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a highly dynamic, collaborative environment.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically on a long-term vision.

Demonstrated ability to deliver results in highly matrixed, cross-functional teams.

Skilled at building relationships with members in various functional areas and at all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated ability to interact credibly with both business teams and highly technical IT teams.

Ability to coach and mentor others in a supportive environment.

General knowledge of the various aspects of IT project management including, but not limited to business case development, project charters, budgeting, waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodologies, business analysis, design and build, testing and quality assurance, operations, service levels agreements (SLAs), SOWs, and contracts.
