GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Dashboard Designer transforms complex data into clear, actionable insights. This position supports analytics and business teams by turning user needs into intuitive dashboards through discovery, wireframing, prototyping, and delivery. Responsible for creating interactive reports, they help stakeholders make informed decisions. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop engaging, easy-to-understand data visualizations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Creates visually appealing and interactive dashboards and reports using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to empower data-driven decision-making.
- Translates complex data into meaningful charts, graphs, and visualizations that provide clear, actionable business insights.
- Designs dashboards with a strong focus on user experience, ensuring ease of use, interactivity, and accessibility tailored to diverse stakeholder needs.
- Collaborates closely with business units, applying user-centered design methodologies to capture requirements and transform complex data into visually compelling information using the latest visualization trends and techniques.
- Gathers and integrates data from multiple sources to ensure dashboard accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Performs quality assurance checks to validate data accuracy, dashboard functionality, and compliance with design standards.
- Customizes dashboards to address the specific preferences and requirements of different business areas and stakeholders.
- Effectively explores and communicates design concepts through journey maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver functional dashboards.
- Maintains thorough documentation of dashboard design specifications, data sources, and best practices to support ongoing maintenance and scalability.
- Must comply fully and consistently with all company policies and procedures, with local and federal laws as well as with the regulations applicable to our Industry, to maintain appropriate business and employment practices.
- May carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned, according to the requirements of education and experience contained in this document.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or other related fields. At least five (5) years of prior experience with data manipulation and SQL, data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
