We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our kitchen environment. This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in food service, catering, and hospitality settings, supporting the overall operation of our restaurant or event venue. The Dishwasher will work closely with kitchen staff to ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are properly cleaned and organized, contributing to a smooth and hygienic dining experience for guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand.
  • Ensure all items are cleaned thoroughly and stored appropriately for use.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and counters.
  • Assist with bussing tables and clearing plates during busy service periods.
  • Support food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and prep work.
  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation protocols at all times.
  • Assist with catering events or banquet setups as required.
  • Help with general cleaning duties within the kitchen and dining areas to uphold hygiene standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of basic food handling procedures and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
  • Experience with bussing, food preparation, cooking, or culinary activities is a plus.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
  • High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
  • Able to safely operate industrial machinery.
  • Able to work in a hot, humid environment and stand for 8-hour shifts.

Restaurant Hours:

Fork & Spoon will be open from 7 -3 M-S, 7 days a week.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Dishwashing: 1 year (Preferred)
