Responsibilities

• Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies and handling ingredients under supervision.
• Support catering and banquet setups by providing clean dishes and utensils promptly.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables in accordance with health regulations.
• Follow all food handling safety procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to support overall cleanliness, organization, and efficient workflow during busy service times.

Skills

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with bussing tables, assisting with food preparation, or catering experience is a plus.
