Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely.
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff.
• Bypass dirty dishes from stations to designated cleaning areas promptly to maintain workflow.
• Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, pans, and bulk supplies safely and correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, floors, and storage spaces, adhering to sanitation standards.

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
• Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices in a commercial kitchen setting.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and sanitizing stations safely.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items regularly.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with food handling procedures are advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards across all areas.
