Dishwasher

Our restaurant group is opening a new location in the American Tobacco Campus in Durham! East of Texas is a Tex-Mex BBQ restaurant with a casual service style, focused on hospitality and delicious food & drinks! We are looking for dishwashers to join our kitchen team!

Duties

• Thoroughly wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or ingredient handling under supervision
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers and other cleaning tools
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all sanitation standards are met throughout your shift
• Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and bulk supplies safely while adhering to proper ergonomic practices

Experience

• Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment
• Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is advantageous
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers or similar machinery is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to maintain a secure work environment
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving others in hospitality settings

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
