Summary:
Maintains kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Arrives to work on time for every scheduled shift
- Operates the dishwashing machine to ensure proper cleaning of all dishes, silverware, glasses and various other items.
- Performs scheduled cleaning to facilitate kitchen needs, as assigned and maintains a clean, safe and sanitary work area.
- Scrapes food from dirty dishes and places them in rack or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
- Stores equipment and utensils in proper areas after they are air dried
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors
- Washes work tables, sinks, walls, refrigerators and empties waste after each meal.
- Cleans out garbage cans
- Assists with putting away food items upon delivery
- Assists with tray assembly
- Makes toast and helps the cook prepare other simple dishes as instructed by the cook or supervisor
- Performs other simple tasks as requested by the cook or kitchen supervisor
- Other duties, assignments and/or special projects as required may be assigned that relate to the service of our residents to daily dietary department operations.

Physical Requirements:
While performing job duties, employee is regularly required to stand and walk up to 7 hours, reaching with hands and arms up to 5 hours, must be able to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.:
