Responsibilities

• Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold health and safety standards
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients under supervision
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and organizing storage spaces regularly
• Support catering and banquet setups by handling dishware and ensuring all items are present and pristine
• Bypass cross-contamination by following proper food handling procedures during cleaning and prep activities
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy service times
• Follow safety protocols and report any maintenance or sanitation issues promptly

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with basic food handling and sanitation practices
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy trays or moving supplies
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization
• Willingness to learn food preparation techniques and support culinary team efforts
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in fast-paced settings
• Knowledge of catering or banquet experience is a plus but not mandatory
