Develop a professional but meaningful relationship with each driver in order to insure their needs are being met by the company.
Schedule and assign loads effectively and efficiently.
Schedule and assign equipment as needed by terminal.
Enter live updates and ensure all daily activities in dispatch system are kept current throughout the workday.
Verify equipment availability with management and maintenance
Communicate timely and effectively with drivers when there are changes to load assignments
Communicate professionally and respectfully with drivers and other staff
Advocate and maintain commitment to safety and customer visibility by utilizing current tracking platforms.
Maintain positive attitude with drivers, staff, and supervisors.
Promote positive attitude with customers.
Review and assist in maintaining driver electronic logs with respects to HOS.
Aid with scheduling equipment for all PM and DOT tests and inspections.
Accurately process driver paperwork as needed.
Perform all other duties as specified by Terminal Manager
Skills & Qualification Requirements:
Strong leadership and communication skills
Must be organized, possess excellent time management skills, and be able to manage multiple tasks in a changing and complex environment
Efficient in Microsoft Office platform
Experience with TMW and TMT, preferred
Experience with Omnitracs or other Electronic Log device preferred
Must have expert level knowledge in Hours of Service rules
High school diploma
2 + years related experience preferred, preferably in Liquid Chemical tank work
Knowledge of DOT regulations required
Experience in equipment tracking, maintenance, and reporting
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
