Job Title: Dispatch Associate

Job Summary:
The Dispatch Associate oversees final mile drivers to guarantee timely delivery tracking and seamless operational flow. This role requires maintaining real-time communication with drivers to provide updates and resolve on-road issues as they arise. Additionally, the Associate coordinates closely with warehouse staff, dispatch teams, carriers, and business customers to align delivery schedules and status updates, ensuring the entire logistics process runs at peak efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Route Optimization: Plan and manage strategic Final Mile delivery routes while scheduling B2B deliveries based on route capacity, geography, and delivery windows.
- Appointment Management: Set and manage delivery appointments with business customers and maintain records for repeat B2B customers, including receiving hours, dock information, and special delivery requirements.
- Team Leadership: Oversee daily operations and delivery team performance while ensuring smooth dispatch execution.
- Efficiency Tracking: Monitor transit times, ensure on-time delivery KPIs are met, and implement operational improvements where necessary.
- Cross-Team Liaison: Coordinate logistics activities between warehouses, dispatch teams, carriers, and support units to ensure timely execution of deliveries.
- Customer Relations: Handle B2B customer communication through calls and emails, resolve customer queries, and maintain professional correspondence.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate daily dispatch reports, customer records, delivery logs, and operational documentation using Excel and reporting tools.
- Operational Support: Handle incoming calls, provide real-time delivery assistance, and support drivers with route updates and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Hands-on experience with MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written), as the role involves daily communication with customers and stakeholders in the USA.
- Strong understanding of routing, delivery windows, and logistics flow.
- Good knowledge of Excel and reporting tools.
- Experience with US delivery operations is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with TMS, routing software, GPS tracking, or map systems will be an advantage.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
