Job Summary

The Dispatch Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of product movement from the warehouse to the final delivery point (distributors, retail partners, or direct consumers). This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a strong understanding of logistics planning, inventory control, and team management to ensure timely, cost-effective, and accurate order fulfilment while maintaining product quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Dispatch & Order Fulfilment Management

  • Plan, organize, and direct daily dispatch activities, ensuring all customer and channel orders (e-commerce, retail, distribution) are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on schedule.
  • Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to prioritize urgent orders and manage delivery expectations.
  • Select the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods and carriers for various delivery types (local, regional, national).

2. Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control

  • Manage the physical warehouse layout and storage systems to optimize efficiency and accessibility for Kshetra’s diverse product range (jaggery, spices, oils, grains).
  • Oversee inventory tracking systems to maintain real-time stock levels, prevent stockouts, and manage product shelf-life (FIFO/FEFO).
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliation to minimize shrinkage and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Verify that all SKUs are packed in approved packing materials and as per specified quantities prior to dispatch

3. Logistics & Transportation

  • Negotiate rates and manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and local transport vendors.
  • Ensure all dispatched goods are properly documented with invoices, E-way bills, and delivery challans, adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor in-transit shipments and resolve transportation issues (delays, damages) promptly.

4. Quality Control & Compliance

  • Ensure all packing materials and methods meet Kshetra’s standards for food safety and product protection during transit (especially fragile items like oils).
  • Implement and enforce hygiene and safety protocols within the dispatch area.
  • Handle returns and damaged goods efficiently, investigating root causes to prevent future occurrences.

5. Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, train, and manage a team of dispatch associates, packers, and loaders.
  • Set performance metrics (e.g., dispatch accuracy, turnaround time) and conduct regular performance reviews.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in dispatch, logistics, or warehouse management, preferably within the FMCG or Food & Beverage sector.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., ERP, WMS).
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing documentation for inter-state and local shipments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
