The Opportunity
The Dispatch Supervisor supports a luxury event rental operation by overseeing driver dispatch, route execution, and DOT compliance. This role ensures timely, safe, and professional delivery and pickup of high-value rental assets for events. The position requires close coordination with drivers, warehouse teams, and operations leadership while maintaining strict transportation compliance and exceptional service standards expected in a luxury environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute daily dispatch schedules for company drivers supporting event deliveries and pickups.

Plan, optimize, and execute delivery and pickup routes aligned with event timelines and venue requirements.

Communicate detailed route plans, delivery instructions, site access information, and schedule updates to drivers.

Monitor route execution in real time and proactively address delays, traffic issues, or on-site challenges.

Ensure full DOT compliance for all drivers, including hours-of-service tracking, driver qualification files, and required documentation.

Oversee pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and address safety or compliance issues immediately.

Maintain accurate dispatch records, driver logs, delivery confirmations, and compliance documentation.

Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure proper staging, loading, securing, and handling of luxury rental items.

Communicate with clients and internal teams to confirm delivery windows and service expectations.

Troubleshoot delivery disruptions, vehicle issues, or site access challenges to protect event execution.

Support fleet maintenance schedules, inspections, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Become the subject matter expert on all logistics platforms including Samsara, IE Routing and Dispatch, and JJ Keller Encompass.

Qualifications & Experience
R e q u i r e d

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or event production.

Knowledge of FMCSA regulations.

1–2 years of experience with route planning and vehicle tracking software.

Demonstrated leadership experience with small teams.

Strong organizational, planning, and numerical accuracy skills.
Preferred

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Experience with inventory tracking systems is preferred.

Ability to meet productivity targets in a high-volume environment.

Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday in a warehouse environment.

Frequently required to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted; team lift required for items exceeding 50 lbs.

Must be able to operate powered industrial equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks to move inventory safely.

Must be able to remain on feet for extended periods and move throughout a large warehouse facility.

This position operates in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and moving equipment.

The employee may occasionally be required to work in outdoor loading dock areas subject to varying weather conditions.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety footwear, high visibility vests, and gloves is required in designated areas.

Schedule flexibility is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
