Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kansas City, KS, for a Dispatcher at Fireman Transport. The Dispatcher will oversee scheduling and coordinating transportation routes for customers while ensuring drivers are dispatched effectively and routes are met on time. Responsibilities include managing communication with drivers, keeping accurate records, handling customer inquiries, and addressing operational challenges promptly. This role requires excellent multitasking capabilities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for managing both driver and customer interactions effectively.
• Proficiency in scheduling, time management, and coordinating resources for optimal efficiency.
• Ability to handle logistics operations and make decisions under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems, with the ability to learn software relevant to transportation management.
• Problem-solving aptitude and strong organizational skills to ensure timely deliveries and resolve routing issues.
• Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or training in logistics or transport is a plus.
