Dispatcher

Walsh Trucking Co., a 65+ year old family-owned company and the leader in wood residual product transport for the Pacific Northwest, is looking for a dispatcher to join our growing team in Napavine, WA. Come grow with us! We are currently hiring for a night shift dispatcher. The shift is M-F 4:30 pm-2:30 am. Occasional Saturday work, as needed.

While working in Operations with a team that plans and manages truck drivers in day-to-day operations, our Dispatchers act as the first point of contact with our drivers.

Dispatchers are responsible for:

• Data entry of load information
• Route details
• Schedules
• Run reports
• Entering billing information

This position will communicate directly with drivers to assign loads, plan routes, and assist with questions.

A successful Dispatcher candidate will have the following skills:

• Good communication – written and oral
• Good critical thinking to problem solve & create efficiencies
• Ability to work independently & in a team, multi-task and handle a fast paced environment
• Good customer relations
• Experience in trucking industry dispatching and/or driver management preferred
• Good understanding of FMCSR’s (Hours of Service)
• Ability to learn and use software efficiently
