The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and committed to providing excellent service to both patients and drivers.
Responsibilities
- Receive and manage inbound calls for non-emergency medical transportation requests
- Schedule, coordinate, and dispatch drivers to patient pick-up and drop-off locations
- Communicate clearly with drivers regarding trip details, changes, and special patient needs
- Monitor driver status and ensure timely arrivals and completions of trips
- Prioritize trips based on appointment times and urgency
- Maintain accurate records of trips, schedules, and customer information
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, healthcare facilities, and team members
- Resolve scheduling issues and delays in real time
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience as a dispatcher, preferably in medical transportation or logistics
- Strong computer, typing, and data entry skills
- Ability to multitask and manage high call volumes
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
- Familiarity with GPS systems and dispatching software is a plus
