THE JOB OF DISPATCHER INVOLVES

• Managing and optimizing trucking schedules and communicating with drivers in a real-time environment
• Using high-precision GPS systems to keep truck fleet moving safely on time, and on target
• Continuously monitoring and improving technologies, productivity, and morale among a wide range of personalities
• Managing wireless communication, vehicle cameras, and other data-gathering technologies
• Assisting with training in the proper use of the dispatch system
• Coordinating and communicating with other departments as necessary
  
  

THIS ONE’S FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE

• Previous dispatch experience
• Familiarity with the Trucking Industry and FMCSA regulations
• Experience with fleet management systems and related technologies
• Proficiency with radio and GPS technology
• Excellent judgment, communication, collaboration, and troubleshooting skills
• The ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
• Must be able to life 25 pounds
