What You’ll Do

We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Courier Dispatcher to coordinate daily delivery operations, optimize driver routes, and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience using Google Maps, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers for daily pickup and delivery routes
• Use Google Maps and route planning tools to create the most efficient delivery routes
• Monitor driver progress throughout the day and adjust routes as needed
• Communicate with customers regarding delivery status, delays, and special instructions
• Resolve delivery issues quickly and professionally
• Maintain accurate delivery records and dispatch logs
• Coordinate urgent or same-day deliveries with minimal disruption
• Ensure drivers follow company procedures and customer requirements
• Track fuel efficiency and route performance to improve operational costs
• Work closely with management to improve workflow and customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications

• Previous dispatching, logistics, or transportation experience preferred
• Strong experience using Google Maps for route planning and navigation
• Ability to optimize routes for time, mileage, and fuel savings
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Proficient with computers, email, and spreadsheets
• High attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Skills

• Experience in courier, medical delivery, or local delivery operations
• Knowledge of the local service area
• Experience with scheduling software or delivery management platforms
• Problem-solving mindset with quick decision-making ability
