Dispatcher

As the heart of our transportation services, you'll coordinate and dispatch NEMT drivers and vehicles to provide safe and efficient non-emergent medical transportation to patients. You'll utilize your exceptional organizational and communication skills to ensure our transportation services operate smoothly, while providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process transportation requests from patients and healthcare providers.
• Coordinate and dispatch NEMT drivers and vehicles to meet patient needs.
• Monitor driver and vehicle performance to ensure safe, efficient, and timely transportation.
• Track and manage transportation schedules and records, including patient information, transportation details, and driver assignments.
• Provide real-time updates to patients, healthcare providers, and drivers.
• Resolve transportation issues and customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Continuously communicate with drivers to ensure their needs are met and they are informed of any updates or changes.
• Maintain and update the transportation management system with accurate and up-to-date information.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of local roads and transportation services.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation and transportation management systems.
• Previous dispatch or customer service experience preferred.
• Successful completion of pre-employment and random drug screenings.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Physical ability to move around the office, including bending, stooping, and reaching as needed.
