Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and clients via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette at all times.
- Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and enhance fleet management efficiency.
- Enter data accurately into logistics platforms, including shipping & receiving records, freight details, and delivery schedules.
- Assist with shipping & receiving operations, including scheduling pickups and deliveries while managing inventory through AS400 or similar systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues efficiently, and maintaining clear communication throughout the supply chain process.
- Support transportation planning efforts by analyzing data related to freight movements, supply chain performance, and logistics operations to identify opportunities for improvement.
