Dispatcher I

All levels of experience will be considered. Job and pay grade will be determined by the qualifications and experience o the selected candidates.

KAMO Power, located in Vinita, Oklahoma is in search of a Dispatcher I. The work location is located at the Vinita Headquarters.

This position will monitor, control and operate equipment that regulates or distributes electricity via multiple electronic displays and programs. Dispatch appropriate personnel to restore outages. Maintain accurate records of outages and related events. Interact with contract cooperative employees concerning outages and general information. Monitor power flows, volts, amps and equipment alarms on various systems on a constant basis.

Ideal candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree or 2-year technical degree in an electrical related field preferred. Prefer minimum of two (2) years’ customer service center or emergency services environment; cooperative or utility experience preferred and one (1) year experience in utility dispatch department. Equivalent industry experience may potentially be considered toward substitution of degree requirements.
