Dispatcher – Readymix Company (Qatar)

Job Summary

The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the delivery of ready-mix concrete to project sites, ensuring timely and efficient dispatch of transit mixers while maintaining optimal fleet utilization and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch & Scheduling

• Plan and schedule daily concrete deliveries based on production and site requirements
• Assign transit mixers and drivers to delivery orders efficiently
• Monitor and track vehicle movements to ensure on-time delivery
• Adjust schedules in real-time to manage delays or urgent requests

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with batching plant operators, drivers, and site teams
• Communicate delivery schedules and updates to customers
• Handle client queries related to delivery status and timing

Operations Monitoring

• Track fleet utilization, turnaround times, and delivery efficiency
• Ensure proper sequencing of deliveries to avoid site delays
• Monitor loading and dispatch activities at the plant

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain dispatch logs, delivery notes, and records
• Prepare daily reports on deliveries, delays, and fleet performance
• Update systems with accurate dispatch data

Problem Solving

• Address delivery issues such as traffic delays, breakdowns, or site constraints
• Coordinate with maintenance team in case of vehicle breakdowns
• Ensure quick resolution to maintain service levels

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards
• Verify drivers comply with traffic and safety regulations

Required Skills

• Strong planning and coordination skills
• Good knowledge of fleet management and logistics operations
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, dispatch systems)

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in dispatching or logistics
• Experience in readymix, construction, or transport industry preferred
• GCC experience is an advantage
