Dispatcher - SYR

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Trace freight and drivers' locations to prevent any issues and monitor the on-time performance of drivers utilizing Samsara and Crown applications
Confirm that drivers have the right equipment for their deliveries and pickups
Maintain communication with drivers throughout the shift
Communicate with customers/forwarders and within the department regarding any issues that arise with deliveries or pickups
Act as a champion of our company values, demonstrating them and holding your team to the same high standards

What you need to succeed at Mobile Air Transport:
2 years of related dispatch experience with an air freight or in a general freight transportation environment
Knowledge of DOT, FMCSR, TSA, OSHA and HAZMAT regulations
Knowledge of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Solid geographic knowledge of service areas

It’d be great if you also have:
Associate’s degree in Transportation or Logistics
LTL industry experience
Positive attitude with the ability to multitask and motivate your team
Exceptional leadership, communication, and administrative skills

This job requires the ability to:
Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 10 lbs., frequently and on occasion up to 25 lbs.
Reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
Walk and stand for extended periods of time in an office and a loading dock
