Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch freight loads and deliveries
• Monitor GPS and GIS data to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and adjust plans as needed for efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette and clear messaging.
• Enter data accurately into electronic dispatching systems to record shipment details, delivery statuses, and fleet information.
• Utilize analysis skills to review logistics data, identify bottlenecks or delays, and implement solutions for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dispatching within the transportation or logistics industry; familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of transportation planning, supply chain processes, and freight management principles.
• Proficiency with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently using multi-line phone systems.
• Demonstrated analysis skills for reviewing logistics data and making informed decisions.
• Familiarity with GPS, GIS technology, shipping & receiving procedures, fleet management practices, and data entry protocols.
