Job Description:

As a Dispatcher, you will provide high quality customer service by receiving a high volume of emergency roadside service calls, generally from roadside assistance motor clubs, typing dispatch information correctly on invoices, and efficiently and effectively dispatching our tow truck drivers to the emergency road service calls or impound requests. You will do all of this by using a computer-aided dispatching system and utilizing mapping software, GPS, and multi-line phones.

In this role, you will also maximize customer service delivery by consistently contacting members with updated estimated time of arrivals, resolving escalated service issues in a professional manner, and exercising proper discretion when applying policies. You will also work directly with the roadside assistance motor clubs to ensure optimum customer service delivery, receive approval for updated dispatched call information, and resolve any questions or issues they may have.

Finally, you will also be required to ensure compliance with all company and safety policies by the tow truck drivers, continuously monitor the driver's status both during service calls and idle time, help troubleshoot any road service issues they may run into, and collect all paperwork they are required to turn in during your shift. You may also be required to perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to pass both a criminal background check and a drug test (No felony convictions or DUI/DWI convictions within the past 10 years)
• Minimum of (1) valid reference to a previous company in which you were employed in a dispatch position
• Proficient in using a computer, printer/scanner/copier/fax, dispatch, mapping, and other software, and a smart phone
• Ability to read maps
• Ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to work and multi-task in a high volume, high stress, fast paced environment
• Posses active listening and problem solving skills
• Utilize basic organization and math skills
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime due to business demands

Compensation is hourly and based on experience. Pay is weekly. PTO (Paid Time Off) is acquired after a good evaluation at the end of your 1st year of employment.
