Dispatcher/Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dispatcher/Manager to lead our transportation operations and ensure seamless logistics management. In this role, you will oversee the coordination of freight, shipping, receiving, and fleet management activities, utilizing advanced transportation management systems and analysis skills to optimize efficiency. Your leadership will drive effective communication across teams, manage dispatching processes, and uphold high standards of phone etiquette and customer service. Duties

• Supervise daily dispatching activities, ensuring timely and accurate routing of freight using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and warehouse teams to schedule pickups, deliveries, and shipments efficiently.
• Utilize GPS technology and GIS mapping tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve transportation planning.
• Manage shipping & receiving processes, including data entry into AS400 systems and freight documentation.
• Oversee fleet management tasks such as maintenance scheduling, vehicle tracking, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and enhanced supply chain performance.
• Ensure accurate data entry related to transportation activities, including dispatch logs and freight records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transportation management or logistics coordination with familiarity in transportation planning and supply chain operations.
• Strong analysis skills with proficiency in transportation management systems like Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of GPS, GIS mapping tools, fleet management software, and 3PL (third-party logistics) providers.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally.
• Demonstrated proficiency in data entry using AS400 or equivalent enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SyteLine.
• Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments involving shipping & receiving activities.
• Familiarity with freight dispatching procedures, shipping regulations, and logistics documentation requirements. Join us in driving excellence across our transportation operations! Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
