Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Dispatching cum Operations Manager to overseeing daily dispatch activities, coordinate logistics, manage operational workflows, and ensure smooth end-to-end order fulfilment. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership qualities, excellent coordination skills, and experience in managing dispatch & operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Dispatch & Logistics Management
- Plan, schedule, and monitor daily dispatch operations.
- Ensure timely dispatch of orders with accurate documentation (invoices, packing lists, etc.).
- Coordinate with transporters, courier partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth deliveries.
- Track shipment status and resolve delivery-related issues proactively.
2. Operations Oversight
- Manage daily operational activities including order processing, packing, and warehouse coordination.
- Ensure proper planning of manpower for dispatch and operations.
- Implement SOPs for smooth workflow and improve operational efficiency.
3. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring stock availability for dispatch.
- Coordinate with suppliers, production, and sales teams to meet delivery schedules and manage logistics processes.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of products in adherence to safety guidelines.
4. Vendor & Client Communication
- Communicate with transport partners, suppliers, and clients regarding dispatch timelines and operational updates.
- Address escalations and provide quick resolutions.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain dispatch logs, transport records, and daily operational reports.
- Analyse dispatch timelines, operational delays, and provide improvement recommendations.
- Generate MIS reports for management review.
6. Team Management
- Lead, train, and supervise the dispatch and operations team.
- Motivate staff and manage their performance to meet operational goals.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or operations management.
- Strong understanding of dispatch planning, courier coordination, and warehouse operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time-sensitive tasks.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
