Job Purpose

The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shipping and receiving department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and ensure the accurate receipt, classification, and storage of products, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of operating procedures, space‑utilization strategies, and facility/equipment protection practices.
  • Direct resources toward continuous improvement of material flow throughout distribution processes and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks to measure planning and forecasting effectiveness.
  • Oversee daily operations and team performance to ensure accurate, timely delivery of all products while preventing backorders and addressing safety concerns.
  • Manage employee performance through coaching, feedback, setting, and accountability, ensuring team members meet operational and behavioral expectations.
  • Provide strong leadership by motivating, developing, and guiding team members to achieve departmental goals and maintain a high‑performing, engaged workforce.
  • Maintain accurate incident and accident records in accordance with OSHA guidelines, and promote a strong safety culture within the department.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and encourage team engagement in preparing for related projects and presentations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least two (2) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, distribution, and/or warehouse environment; OR
  • Associate degree and at least three (3) years of supervisory experience in above setting; OR
  • High School degree and at least five (5) years of supervisory experience in above setting

  • 2 Plus Years of experience with WMS (SAP, CLICK)
