The Distribution Manager is responsible for managing and expanding the supplements, healthy food/beverage distribution network across Qatar. This includes building strong relationships with potential retailers, hypermarkets, gyms, pharmacies, and specialty stores, while ensuring product visibility, availability, and sales performance. The role focuses on growing market penetration, increasing brand presence, and ensuring operational excellence from importation to point-of-sale execution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Market Expansion & Business Development
- Identify and approach potential retail partners such as hypermarkets, gyms, pharmacies, nutrition shops, and online retailers.
- Present product portfolios, negotiate terms, and onboard new accounts.
- Develop expansion strategies to increase market penetration and distribution footprint.
Key Account & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, store managers, and key decision-makers.
- Act as the main point of contact for key accounts, handling negotiations, agreements, and issue resolution.
- Conduct regular visits to retail locations to ensure presence, placement, and compliance.
Visibility, Merchandising & Marketing Support
- Ensure premium shelf visibility, correct pricing, and proper placement of all products across sales points.
- Plan and execute promotional activities, sampling campaigns, and point-of-sale materials.
- Coordinate with marketing to align brand visibility with strategic campaigns.
Sales Performance & Reporting
- Monitor sales performance across all accounts, track stock movement, and analyze sell-in vs. sell-out.
- Set and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets for each channel.
- Prepare reports on distribution growth, account performance, and market trends.
Logistics & Inventory Coordination
- Work closely with logistics to ensure timely deliveries and proper stock levels at all accounts.
- Monitor slow-moving items, product expiry dates, and forecast upcoming demand.
- Ensure smooth operations from importation to distribution channels.
Compliance & Product Standards
- Ensure all distributed products comply with local regulations and relevant authorities (MoCI, Ministry of Health, etc.).
- Ensure all packaging, labelling, and barcoding requirements are in place.
Other Duties
- Take on additional tasks related to distribution, wholesale, or brand expansion as assigned by management.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Nutrition / Supplement knowledge preferred.
- Sales & Negotiation Training.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in retail, distribution, or supplement sales.
- Strong background in brand acquisition and vendor management.
- Experience with luxury clientele or premium retail preferred.
