Your Role:

You will play a key role in the supply chain side of our company. You will provide timely and quality products to our customers every day by following standard procedures.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Load and unload freight as well as locate, move, deliver, or return all required materials to proper areas.
  • Selects and puts away material using narrow aisle, wire guided machines. This includes use of “operator up” machines and other powered industrial trucks. This also includes using a scanner or computer system.
  • Receives material from outside vendors.
  • Prepare materials for shipment; verifying that all the appropriate markings and labels are present, all packages comply with company procedures and DOT, IATA, and IMO regulations, making corrections when necessary.
  • Packs the material, following established procedures and instructions while complying with hazard (DG) regulations.
  • Selects orders for processing.
  • Operate required equipment to produce documents for workload; Accurately document all movement of materials.
  • Operate both powered and material handling equipment in a safe manner.
  • Audit inventory locations to maintain inventory and location accuracy as well as follow procedures to complete full location audits.
  • Verifies chemicals, catalog numbers, lot numbers, special request information, unit sizes and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions.
  • Prints and applies all required labels and markings to box to comply with hazardous materials regulations for shipment to customer.
  • Packs the material, following established procedures and instructions while complying with hazard regulations.
  • Works with team leads and supervisors to troubleshoot systems issues.
  • Condenses, straightens, and maintains warehouse areas.
  • Assists with training new employees.
  • Reports unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to team leads or any member of management.
  • Exemplary attendance and adherence to schedule.
  • Processes a 2-step goods receipt.
  • Processes canning of material.
  • Schedules dock appointments for carriers.
  • Communicates with Procurement any discrepancies or product issues.
  • Process CONF orders for shipment.
  • Communicates with Customer Interface Departments on shipping issues, expedites priorities.
  • Maintains record of orders.
  • Must follow all good distribution practices (GDP), where applicable.

Physical Attributes:

  • Distribution/Warehouse Environment.
  • Working near moving mechanical parts.
  • Wearing appropriate protective gear (hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes) and other personal protective equipment (PPE) as assigned. PPE is used to protect against toxic or corrosive chemicals int eh forms of liquids, solids, vapors, or airborne particles.
  • Work area may be wet, humid, or abnormally hot or cold.
  • Occasionally required to sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl for extended periods of time.
  • Stand on your feet for eight hours.
  • Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds unassisted; Lift and/or move over 60 pounds with assistance.
  • Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular use of phones, computers, computer monitors, and all office equipment.
  • Reading CRTs and computer monitors.
  • Talk, hear, taste, and smell.

Who You Are:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Requirements

  • One year work experience in a chemical handling environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner with all levels of staff both orally and written.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Experience operating computers, scanners, printers, CRTs, shipping equipment (meters, tape machines, etc.) and various cutting instruments.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Understand basic shipping regulations.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range for this position: $18-28/hour

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
