Distribution Specialist- 2nd Shift

Oxbo, a world leader of production and service of specialized agricultural equipment, has immediate openings in DeKalb, IL. We are looking for Distribution Specialists with strong skills to work 2nd shift at our Distribution Center.

Selected candidates will train on 1st shift for 2-3 weeks. Once trained, regular schedule will be as follows:

2:30pm to 11pm M-F (June to October) 12:30pm to 9pm (October to May)

8% shift differential pay when working 2nd shift.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pick and Pack all types of sales orders, DOP’s, and work orders in a highly efficient manner (use of barcode scanners).
• Reconcile cycle count variances.
• Ability to develop and configure part packaging requirements.
• Receive inbound packing slips (supplier and DOP’s) (use of barcode scanners).
• Analyze, research and resolve complex problems (quality issues, chronic inventory concerns, etc.).
• Analyze software issues, coordinate resolution, testing and implementation.
• Develop ergonomic methods for picking, packing, assembly, etc.
• Analyze parts orders, engineering packages to assure safe handling, cost efficient, and appropriate packaging.
• Knowledge of shipping software (UPS Worldwide, FedEx, and LTL).
• Forklift, Order picker, pallet jack experience required.
• Willingness to Work extended hours on request if business volume requires.
• Willingness to be versatile and learn every task, in every Department.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 - 3 years manufacturing parts, distribution, inventory or shipping experience preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Proficiency in Windows, including MS Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and with professional discretion.
• Excellent management, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• This job requires the use of basic mathematics.
• Some basic knowledge of blueprint reading & use of measuring devices for inspection.
